Since we hit our goals so fast, most everyone missed the goal banner changes for @dcafanzine Glitches & Glitterglue, but I am here to remedy that!

The fanzine is at $20k+ pledged and just wow guys! I was frantically updating the Kickstarter live in the first hour to unlock tiers and add-ons and update graphics. It was crazy 😹✨💫

We are still scurrying around behind the scenes doing a lot to prep for manufacturing and fulfillment and planning more goodies.

Here Comes A Thought - Aidlyn Idea

An idea I had trying to sleep last night but Aiden and Ashlyn are dating and are practicing boundaries for their relationship

I was planning on drawing this with the song "Here Comes A Thought" from Steven Universe

Here's my thinking process for this:

I'm not sure what part of the song I'm starting with but it starts with Aiden and Ashlyn sitting in front of each other. Aiden lends his hand out and Ashlyn takes it, they slowly intertwine their hands.

Ashlyn is still getting used to this kind of affection where Aiden and Ashlyn touch each other but with romantic intentions.

Then Aiden lends out his other hand and reaches for Ashlyn's cheek but pauses, looking at Ashlyn for consent and she nods. He puts a hand on her cheek and brushes away strands of hair as she leans into the touch. She puts a hand over the one on her cheek.

But then Aiden makes the mistake of trailing his hand down to her neck and she jolts away, shaking her head. Aiden shows he's okay with that boundary by taking Ashlyn's other hand.

It kind of ends there with Ashlyn and Aiden smiling at each other or something like that. Aiden's original intention was to trail his hand down to Ashlyn's shoulder or something like that.

For those who need it...

Imagine this... It's 9:40 pm and it's thundering outside, you're cuddling with your F/O in the dimmest of lights, both of you in your PJs (if you both even have those) and in their touch, soft, warm touch... Leilani: Don’t worry about him, can you sit up? But Bryce, you freaked him out! As soon as he saw those scales on your arms, he knew what was going on and carried you here to me.

Maliah: I really owe him an explanation, I can’t believe that I fainted at work again. By any chance do you have any kelp with you?

Leilani: He’s getting ready to get some, there’s none at home. But hopefully there be some kelp at the store or somewhere. Maliah: Ahh that’s a relief! Thank you so much Leilani!

Robbie: Renee…what is kwelp? Renee: Shh Robbie! I can’t hear them!

Context: For my gameplay, kelp for mermaids is similar to plasma for vampires. When the energy or hunger is low, signs of being a mermaid show like scales on the skin, so kelp can be included into their diets, to fulfil the needs (or hide identity for some). And I've not mentioned this, but everyone in the conservationist career knows each other, therefore Leilani is friends with Maliah. Also since Leilani was born in Sulani, she knows the existence of mermaids - it's no surprise and is very common. Bryce is informed and is aware of a lot of information (he is a marine biologist) however has never encountered one. When he first found out he couldn't believe it! The kids? They are too young...
